Barcelona want the Spotify Camp Nou to be a genuine cauldron for the second leg of the Copa del Rey semi-final against Atletico Madrid on Tuesday night.
With the aim of driving a comeback after the 4-0 first-leg defeat, the club have worked in recent weeks to bring together around 700 supporters from the former Grada d’Animació (fans cheering group) to act as the driving force in the stadium atmosphere.
Approval granted
Now, according to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona have already received approval from the Mossos d’Esquadra (Catalan police) to carry out the plan.
However, one final administrative procedure is still required before the group can be seated together inside the ground.

The intention is to place the 700 supporters in the area behind where the stand known as Gol 1957 is to be situated, in the lower corner between Gol Sud and Tribuna stands.
For this match, Barcelona will not yet have licence 1C, which must be granted by the City Council in order to host the desired 62,000 spectators. As a result, this arrangement is provisional and exceptional for this specific fixture.
The Catalans have held discussions for weeks with the main supporters’ groups, Almogàvers, Nostra Ensenya, Front 532 and Supporters Barça, who were part of the Grada before its closure due to financial sanctions.
The aim is for these supporters to lead the chanting from the first minute, create a high-pressure atmosphere and spread that intensity throughout the stadium in order to push the team towards a comeback against Atletico Madrid.
